Our research uses empirical and mathematical methods to study water flows with immersed solid grains, and the geomorphic action they exert on river, lake, and sea beds. We conduct micro-scale experiments in our laboratory at National Taiwan University, and observations of field-scale processes at various locations in Taiwan. We also seek to model the corresponding behaviors by formulating and solving simplified mathematical equations.
